Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Skin Formular Pty Ltd (ABN 28 692 851 255), trading as PetRide (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect
We collect: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses; your order and purchase history; payment information (your card details are entered directly with our payment provider — we receive only confirmation and limited details such as the last 4 digits, never your full card number); any account login details; your marketing preferences; messages you send us; and technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and how you use our website (see “Cookies and tracking”). We don't seek sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you don't send it to us.

How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you — when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our emails, use our website, or contact us. We also collect some technical information automatically through cookies and similar tools, and occasionally receive information from our service providers (such as delivery updates from carriers).

Why we use it
We use your personal information to: process and deliver your orders; take payment and detect fraud; provide customer support; manage your account; send you marketing emails you've signed up for; improve and personalise our website and advertising; and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed, with: our online store and hosting platform; payment processors; the suppliers and fulfilment partners who pack and dispatch your order; shipping and delivery carriers; analytics and advertising providers; email and marketing providers; and our professional advisers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a sale of our business. We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers are located, or store data, overseas, so your personal information may be disclosed to recipients in countries including the United States, Canada and China, and other countries where our providers operate. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through our contracts with those providers.

Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: to make the website work (essential), to understand how the site is used (analytics), and to show and measure advertising. Some of these tools are run by third parties who may combine this information with data they already hold. You can disable cookies in your browser, and opt out of analytics and advertising tracking through your browser settings and the opt-out tools offered by Google and Meta.

Marketing and your choices
If you sign up, we'll send you marketing emails about our products and offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us, and we'll action your request promptly. Every marketing email identifies us as the sender and includes a working unsubscribe link, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). On request, we'll tell you where we obtained your information, unless it's impracticable to do so.

Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong, by emailing support@petride.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days). If we can't give you access or make a correction, we'll explain why and how you can complain.

Complaints
If you think we've breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us at support@petride.com.au and we'll investigate and respond, usually within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If a data breach occurs that's likely to cause serious harm, we'll respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including notifying you and the OAIC where required.
